May 2023 video game release dates
Will Tears of the Kingdom be a GOTY contender?
So far, May is looking busy; it's the release month of two major blockbusters: Zelda: Tears of the
Kingdom, and Suicide Squad. Redfall, Endless Dungeon, and Age of Wonders 4 all arrive in May, too.
We're patiently waiting for Diablo 4 (and Lilith) to embrace us.
June is looking very hot right now (and I’m not talking about the temperature), and it's
looking like a perfect end to the first half of the year. So far, we’ve got Diablo 4, Street
Fighter 6, and Final Fantasy 16.

First-half 2023 video game release dates
We've yet to get a proper look at Homeworld 3.
As is often the case, many of the games on this list have release targets and not quite solid
dates. For this section, we’re rounding up the games shooting for release in the first half of
the year, including the spring.
Rauniot (PC) - Q1
Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster series (PS4, Switch) - spring
Only a few games have the nebulous summer 2023 release window right now, so that’s where
they’re going to be until they graduate and get solid release dates.
At the time of writing this, TBD is by far the largest of all sections on this list. That’s
entirely expected, of course, but you can also expect it to slim down as the year goes on and more
games move to other slots.
We have no idea when the games in this section will be out. Some may end up releasing this year,
others in 2024, and a few will likely languish in development hell for years.
Until we can say for sure, you’ll find everything that’s been announced but
doesn’t even have a soft release target down here.
